Abstract

 Since the seminal result of Banach [2] the fixed point theory of nonexpansive mappings has been a rapidly growing field of research. See [3, 8, 10, 11, 12, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 23, 24, 27, 28, 29, 32, 33] and the reference mentioned therein. A significant progress has
been done, in particular, in studies of common fixed point problems, which have important applications in engineering and medical sciences [6, 7, 30, 32, 33]. The study of coincidence points of nonlinear mappings is an important topic of the fixed point theory [1, 4,
5, 13, 14, 15, 22].
