A Theorem on Variational Inequalities for Affine Mappings

Abstract

 We give a proof of a conjecture by B. Ricceri on variational inequalties which extends a partial result of N.D.Yen. We need an additional hypothesis of compactness for a convex set, and refute the conjecture if this additional hypothesis is removed.
